Felix's Nursery

I was so excited to design a nursery for my baby. I knew one thing, it would be pretty whether I had a girl or boy! We mulled over a theme and considered 'Busytown of Richard Scarry,' but settled on Peter Rabbit.

The room was neutral and bright with a large picture window.

Richard did an amazing job building wainscoting from scratch.

After we painted the walls a nice, airy green, I got to work on painting the mural for over the crib. I projected a small picture on the wall and traced it in place with pencil.

I was really happy with the end result. It took me about 8 hours over a few days.

We bought furniture at Georgia Baby & Kids and a
glider from Target.com

And with bedding and accessories, it's complete!

All I need to do is buy some frames for the 3 paintings I created to go along with the Beatrix Potter theme!

Who knows when Felix will actually sleep in here?
